Rules for using Astronia
1.1 Astronia is a brand, digital platform and service interface operated by AP PURE CARE PRIVATE LIMITED, having CIN U46497UP2025PTC238632, GSTIN 09ABECA3656N1Z7 and its principal place of business at 5th Floor, 502, Kaisons Tower, Alpha-1, Alpha Road, Alpha Commercial Belt, Alpha 1, Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh - 201310, India (collectively, “Astronia”, “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Astronia operates at astronia.in and through the Astronia mobile applications published on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
1.2 By creating an account, clicking an acceptance button, purchasing credits, booking or starting a Consultation, using free features, participating in a live session, or otherwise using the Platform, the user confirms that the user has read and agrees to these Terms and the policies incorporated by reference. Where affirmative consent is legally required, mere browsing will not substitute for such consent.
1.3 If a person uses Astronia on behalf of an organisation, that person represents that they have authority to bind that organisation. Consumer-facing Consultations remain personal and may not be resold or commercially exploited without written permission.
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Platform | The Astronia website at astronia.in, the Astronia mobile applications published on the Apple App Store and Google Play, and Astronia’s APIs, call/chat/video/live systems, customer-support channels and related services. |
| User | A visitor, registered member, customer or purchaser using the Platform. |
| Service Provider | An independent astrologer, tarot reader, numerologist, vastu consultant, life coach or other approved expert listed on the Platform. |
| Consultation | A paid or free interaction through chat, audio, video, live stream, question, report or another enabled format. |
| Session | A single connected Consultation between a User and one Service Provider in one format, commencing when the Platform confirms two-way connection and ending on disconnection, exhaustion of available balance, expiry of the booked duration, or termination under these Terms. A reconnection between the same User and the same Service Provider within the Reconnect Window forms part of the same Session. |
| Consultation Rate | Astronia’s User-facing per-minute or per-unit price for a Consultation performed through the selected Service Provider, as displayed immediately before the Session commences. This is charged by AP Pure Care Private Limited and is separate from the Provider’s B2B service fee. |
| Platform Session Fee | A fixed charge levied once per Session for Astronia’s own services — connection and routing, scheduling, metered billing, recording and consent management, safety moderation, customer support and complaint handling. It is separate from and additional to the Consultation Rate. |
| Billing Increment | The unit in which chargeable duration is measured and rounded, as published in the Key Terms notice and the Help Centre. |
| Connection Grace Period | The published period at the start of a connection attempt during which no charge of any kind arises if two-way communication is not established. |
| Reconnect Window | The published period after an unintended disconnection during which a reconnection between the same participants continues the same Session. |
| Total Payable | The aggregate of the Consultation Rate for the chargeable duration, the Platform Session Fee and applicable taxes. |
| Service Credits | Closed-system contractual credits usable only for eligible Astronia services, subject to the Wallet Policy (the Wallet Policy). |
| User Content | Information, messages, documents, images, audio, reviews or other material submitted by a User. |
| AI Feature | Any clearly identified automated or generative feature that produces content without a human providing every response. |
3.1 A registered user must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract. A minor must not open an account, make a payment, purchase credits, send a virtual gift, or participate in a private Consultation.
3.2 Astronia applies age assurance at registration and before defined higher-risk actions. If an account holder is established to be a minor, Astronia suspends the account, stops further charges and returns all identifiable amounts paid by that minor to the original payment source. Any Provider amount already paid is recovered separately under the Astrologer Terms and is not deducted from the minor’s refund.
3.3 A parent or lawful guardian may seek general guidance concerning a minor through the restricted flow described in the Privacy Policy, Cl. 10.4. That flow collects the minimum information necessary, involves no private Consultation with the minor, applies a shorter retention period, and is never used for profiling or marketing.
3.4 No Service Provider may directly counsel, privately message, solicit or transact with a minor through or outside the Platform. Content involving child sexual abuse, grooming, exploitation or endangerment is prohibited and may be preserved and reported to competent authorities.
4.1 AP Pure Care Private Limited, operating the Astronia brand, is the User’s contracting supplier and merchant of record for every paid Astronia service. Astronia may engage independent Service Providers to perform Consultations as subcontractors. A User pays Astronia only; no Service Provider may separately collect or claim payment from a User. Service Providers remain responsible to Astronia for their statements, methods and conduct, while Astronia remains responsible for its non-delegable consumer obligations.
4.2 “Verified” means that Astronia has checked selected identity, experience or onboarding information using the processes available at the relevant time. It is not a governmental licence, certification, endorsement, guarantee of character, or warranty that any statement or prediction will be correct. This qualification is displayed with the verification badge itself, not only in these Terms.
Astronia publishes, and keeps current, a plain-language explanation of the main parameters that determine how Service Providers are ordered, recommended or featured on the Platform. That explanation is available from every listing surface and is reproduced at the “How astrologers are ranked” page. It states, among other things, that placement can be influenced by paid promotion, and every promoted placement is labelled as such wherever it appears.
For each Service Provider, Astronia displays the professional or display name; verification status and what that verification covers; skills and practice areas; languages; stated years of experience; aggregate rating and the number of Consultations on which it is based; current Consultation Rate; and a route to raise a complaint. A Service Provider must keep these particulars accurate and notify Astronia of any change.
4.5 Astronia may monitor quality, investigate complaints, remove content, alter ranking and suspend or remove a Service Provider. Such controls do not convert a Service Provider into an employee, a partner or an agent of Astronia. Astronia’s own responsibility to Users is as set out in Clause 4.1 and Clause 15.
5.1 Astrology, tarot, numerology, vastu, spiritual practices, life coaching and related content are provided for entertainment, personal reflection and general guidance. Outcomes are inherently subjective and uncertain. No result, prediction, remedy, ritual, report or compatibility assessment is guaranteed.
5.2 The Platform is not a substitute for a doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist, lawyer, chartered accountant, investment adviser, emergency service or other licensed professional. Users must obtain qualified advice before acting on medical, mental-health, legal, tax, financial, fertility, pregnancy, employment or safety matters.
5.3 Users must never stop medicine, postpone emergency care, invest or transfer money, commence or abandon legal proceedings, or make an irreversible life decision solely because of a Consultation.
6.1 The User agrees to:
7.1 Before a paid Session starts, the Platform displays the Consultation Rate, the Platform Session Fee, applicable taxes, the estimated Total Payable, the available balance and the estimated maximum duration, together with any material offer conditions.
7.2 Chargeable duration is measured and rounded in the Billing Increment. The Billing Increment, the Connection Grace Period, the Reconnect Window and the rounding rule are published in the Key Terms notice and the Help Centre, are applied consistently, and are recorded in auditable system logs.
7.3 The User is responsible for adequate network coverage, a working device, microphone permissions, correct contact details and remaining available during a scheduled or callback Session. A connected Session may end when the balance is insufficient, either party disconnects, a safety rule is triggered or the Platform experiences an outage.
7.4 Displayed availability is not a guaranteed reservation unless the Platform expressly confirms a booking. Estimated wait, report-delivery and response times are targets, not guarantees, but unreasonable delay may qualify for a remedy under the Refund Policy.
7A.1 Components. Charges for a Session comprise (a) the Consultation Rate multiplied by the chargeable duration, (b) the Platform Session Fee, and (c) applicable taxes. The Platform displays each component separately, together with the Total Payable or the estimated Total Payable, on a single screen before the User confirms the Session. No charge is introduced, revealed or increased after that screen.
7A.2 What the Platform Session Fee is. The Platform Session Fee is part of the consideration charged by Astronia as contracting supplier and merchant of record for connection, routing, metering, safety, support and complaint handling. It is charged once per Session. Its amount is the amount displayed before confirmation, stated in rupees with tax treatment shown. It may differ by format or Session type, but never changes after the User confirms that Session.
7A.3 When it is charged. The Platform Session Fee is charged when the Session connects. It is not charged on a booking request, a ring-out, a Service Provider’s failure to answer, or a connection that fails before two-way communication is established. Where the Platform reconnects the same User and Service Provider within the Reconnect Window, no further Platform Session Fee arises.
7A.4 Connection Grace Period. If two-way communication is not established within the Connection Grace Period, no Platform Session Fee and no Consultation charge arises, and any provisional deduction is reversed automatically.
7A.5 Not a payment surcharge. The Platform Session Fee is not referable to the User’s choice of payment instrument, and does not vary by payment method. Astronia does not levy any surcharge on a User for using a particular payment method.
7A.6 Free, discounted and promotional Sessions. Where a Session is offered as free, discounted or promotional, the offer states with equal prominence whether the Platform Session Fee applies and its amount. A Session described as “free” will not attract a Platform Session Fee or any other charge unless that charge is disclosed with equal prominence in the same offer.
7A.7 Refunds. The circumstances in which the Platform Session Fee is refunded are set out in the Refund Policy, Cl. 3.
8.1 The User authorises the chosen payment provider to process the selected amount. Prices include or exclude applicable taxes exactly as shown before payment. The User must use a payment instrument lawfully held or validly authorised by its holder.
8.2 Astronia does not intentionally store full card credentials where payment is handled by a regulated bank, payment aggregator or app-store billing provider. Those providers’ terms, authentication and refund processes may also apply.
8.3 For duplicate debits, failed credits or unauthorised transactions, the User should promptly provide the transaction reference. Astronia will coordinate with the bank or payment provider and will not require the User to pay twice for one confirmed order.
8.4 As merchant of record, AP Pure Care Private Limited issues the User’s tax invoice or other legally required receipt for each chargeable Session, showing the Consultation component, Platform Session Fee and applicable tax separately, and issues a credit note where required. Provider compensation is a separate business-to-business payment governed by the Commercial Schedule.
9.1 Eligibility for a free Session, bonus, referral reward, cashback or discount may depend on device, mobile number, payment instrument, account history, geography, provider, service and campaign period. Material conditions are displayed with the offer.
9.2 Where a benefit is described using the word “cashback”, the offer states with equal prominence whether it is paid as money to the original payment source or as Service Credits usable only on Astronia, together with its validity period and any usage restriction. A benefit issued as Service Credits is not described in a way that implies money will be returned.
9.3 Astronia may refuse or reverse a benefit obtained through duplicate accounts, self-referral, fabricated transactions, coordinated manipulation or technical exploitation. A promotional benefit has no cash value unless expressly stated and is governed by the Wallet Policy and campaign-specific terms.
Users must interact lawfully and respectfully. The following are prohibited:
11.1 Reviews must reflect genuine first-hand experience and must not contain private data, unlawful allegations or paid/coordinated manipulation. Astronia may moderate, delay, label or remove reviews for authenticity, privacy, safety and legal compliance, and will not suppress genuine criticism merely because it is negative.
11.2 The User retains ownership of User Content. The User grants Astronia a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt for formatting, moderate and display that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve and promote the Platform.
11.3 Use of reviews in advertising. A review is not used in an advertisement, named testimonial, influencer creative or paid campaign without a separate recorded permission from its author for that use. The permission states the text, attribution, media, duration and withdrawal route. Editing must not change the review’s meaning, and withdrawn or deleted testimonials are removed from future campaigns within a reasonable operational period.
11.4 Private Consultation content is not used in public marketing without separate consent or lawful anonymisation that is not reasonably reversible.
Astronia’s name, logos, interface, software, designs, databases, reports, compilations and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. No User may copy, scrape, sell, white-label, reverse engineer or create a competing dataset or service from the Platform except where law expressly permits or Astronia authorises it in writing.
The Platform may link to or rely on maps, payment gateways, telecom networks, app stores, analytics tools and third-party websites. Astronia is not responsible for an independent third party’s content or practices, but this clause does not exclude responsibility imposed on Astronia by applicable law for its own selection, instructions or processing activities.
14.1 Astronia may warn, restrict, suspend or terminate an account for verified or reasonably suspected fraud, abuse, unlawful conduct, safety risk, payment reversal, repeated material breach or legal direction. Except in urgent safety, fraud or legal cases, Astronia will use proportionate measures and provide a reasonable opportunity to appeal.
14.2 On closure, promotional credits lapse. Unused paid credits are handled under the Wallet Policy, Cl. 7. Account closure does not erase records that Astronia must retain for tax, fraud, dispute, safety or legal compliance.
14.3 Registration records required to be retained under applicable intermediary law are preserved for 180 days after cancellation or withdrawal of registration, or longer only where a lawful hold applies.
15.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform and Consultations are provided on an “as available” basis. Astronia does not warrant uninterrupted availability, error-free software, a particular emotional or commercial outcome, or the accuracy of a prediction or interpretation.
15.2 Astronia is not liable for indirect, speculative, special or consequential loss, including loss of expected profit, opportunity, goodwill or anticipated benefit, arising from reliance on astrological content.
15.3 Subject to Clause 15.4, Astronia’s contractual liability for direct proven loss arising from its own breach is limited, for each claim, to the amount actually paid for the affected service and, in aggregate for any twelve-month period, to the total amount paid by that User to Astronia during that period. This clause creates no minimum payment or admitted amount and does not limit any remedy that law makes non-waivable.
15.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of a non-waivable data-protection duty, valid product liability, or any consumer right that applicable law does not permit the parties to waive. Where any limitation in this Clause is held unenforceable, the remaining limitations continue to apply.
To the extent permitted by law, a User will indemnify Astronia against third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from the User’s unlawful content, impersonation, infringement, fraud, unauthorised publication of a Consultation, or material breach of these Terms. This does not require a consumer to indemnify Astronia for Astronia’s own negligence, breach or unlawful act.
17.1 Astronia may update features and these Terms for legal, security, operational or product reasons. Material adverse changes will be notified through the app, website, email or SMS with reasonable advance notice where practicable. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by law; fresh consent will be obtained where required.
17.2 Astronia is not responsible for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including telecom or cloud failure, payment-network outage, natural disaster, civil disturbance or government action, but will take reasonable steps to restore service and provide legally required refunds.
17.3 Periodic user notice. At least once every three months, Astronia gives Users a simple and effective notice of the applicable rules, the consequences of non-compliance and any reporting that may be required for unlawful conduct, in English or the User’s chosen supported language. Astronia also notifies Users whenever these Terms or the Privacy Policy changes materially and maintains a current version on the Platform.
18.1 Astronia may revise the Platform Session Fee, Consultation Rates and other charges at any time. Because every charge is displayed on the Platform before the User confirms a Session or a purchase, a revision applies only to Sessions and purchases commenced after the revised amount is displayed. A User who has seen and accepted the displayed amount for a Session is charged that amount and no other.
18.2 Standing arrangements are treated differently. Where a User holds a subscription or another recurring arrangement, a change to the price of that arrangement is notified in advance under the Subscription Policy, Cl. 3.3, and the User may cancel before it takes effect.
18.3 Astronia sets the User-facing Consultation Rate. It may take account of the selected Service Provider, format, demand, duration and promotions, but it is Astronia’s charge to the User and is legally separate from the B2B service fee payable to the Service Provider. The rate that applies is the rate displayed immediately before the Session commences.
18.4 In no circumstances is a User charged an amount that was not displayed before the User committed to the Session or purchase.
19.1 Users should first raise a complaint through the in-app support channel or by email to support@astronia.in. Astronia issues a ticket, acknowledges the complaint and resolves it within the periods published in the Grievance Policy, which reflect the different statutory clocks that apply to different categories of complaint. Escalation may be made to the Grievance Officer named in the Grievance Policy, Cl. 6.
19.2 These Terms are governed by Indian law. Subject to non-waivable consumer rights to approach a competent Consumer Commission or other statutory authority, courts at Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh will have jurisdiction. After a dispute arises, the parties may mutually agree to mediation or arbitration; this clause does not impose a pre-dispute waiver of statutory consumer remedies.
20.1 Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it is severed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions continue in full force.
20.2 No waiver. A failure or delay in enforcing any right is not a waiver of it, and a single or partial exercise does not prevent further exercise.
20.3 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the policies incorporated by reference and any order-specific terms displayed at purchase, constitute the entire agreement between the User and Astronia on their subject matter, and supersede prior representations other than fraudulent ones.
20.4 Assignment. The User may not assign or transfer their account or rights. Astronia may assign or novate these Terms, in whole or in part, to an affiliate or to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring or sale of assets, provided the User’s accrued rights and credit balances are not prejudiced. Astronia will notify Users of any such transfer.
20.5 Notices. Astronia may give notice through the Platform, by in-app message, email or SMS to the details held on the account. A User may give formal notice by email to support@astronia.in. Notice is deemed received on the day of sending where sent electronically before 6 p.m. IST on a business day, and on the next business day otherwise.
20.6 Survival. Clauses 5, 8, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 19 and 20, and any clause that by its nature is intended to survive, continue after termination or account closure.
20.7 Language. These Terms may be made available in English and in other Indian languages. In the event of any inconsistency, the English version prevails, without prejudice to a User’s right under applicable data-protection law to receive a privacy notice in a language of their choice.
20.8 Electronic records. These Terms are an electronic record concluded by electronic means and do not require a physical signature. Platform logs, consent records and transaction records maintained in the ordinary course are admissible evidence of the matters they record.
20.9 Set-off. Astronia may set off any amount lawfully due from a User — including a reversed payment, a successful chargeback in respect of a service actually received, or a benefit obtained in breach of Clause 9.3 — against Service Credits or amounts otherwise payable to that User, after recording the reason and notifying the User.
20.10 Relationship. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment or agency between the User and Astronia, or between the User and a Service Provider beyond the Consultation itself.
